New Initiatives:
A once-off 'Train the Trainer' initiative from Ag Eisteacht!
Trainer Associate Training May 2010.
This exciting initiative will train pairs of workers as Trainer Associates.
Once trained, they can cascade the 3-day Brief encounters® Course and the 1-Day Brief encounters® Workshop within their organisations—a cost effective way to reach more frontline staff in their organisations.
HSE courses have been 100% over-subscribed, when the Brief encounters® was offered.
The Trainer Associate Training is partially sponsored by Ag Eisteacht – and some full bursaries are available.
For more information contact us on 086 0455114.
Research
Since 2001 Brief encounters® training has been delivered to 260 frontline workers with outreach to at least 7170 families. Ag Eisteacht has commissioned Veronica Bon, a researcher from the South and Mid West Development Support Agency to evaluate this Brief encounters® training delivered in Ireland. The evaluation study includes an outline of the current Irish Policy context for the provision of family support services and will show how Brief encounters® training fits with the early intervention emphasised in policy documents.
